Again I'm not one for modernizing. We offer during the fall homemade caramel sauce for dipping with wedges of crisp apple. They are local apples of different varieties. This is on the kids menu at Prairie Grass Cafe during the fall!!!

Um, with really good vanilla custard ice cream! Which is exactly how we serve our cinnamon-heavy bread pudding - with spiced apple compote and salted caramel.

Because Vincent is an American bistro with a strong Dutch accent, we have taken the flavor of caramel apple and put it into our vlaii - a Dutch pastry which is similar to a tart but uses a sweetened yeast dough as the crust. The caramel apple vlaii is served warm, topped with delicious salted caramel sauce and finished with vanilla ice cream.
