I am big fan of all things sour, so Flemish sour ales are one of my favorite types of beer. At Leopold we've carried several kinds, but my go-tos are Liefmans Cuvee-Brut and the Rodenbach Grand Cru. I also really enjoy the whole Ayinger line, but one that really stands out for me is the Brau Weisse. It has a nice clean taste and is a good session beer.

Duvel Green.

I love some beers from South America and the Carribean but definately they are a bit lighter in style. Quilmes from Argentina, Xingu from Brazil, Presidente from the Dominicacn Republic and Balashi from Aruba. I like the fact they are lighter and always remind me of sunny days and warm nights.

i think my favorite is Orangeboom...a Dutch beer that isn't all that well known outside of Holland. Not for the taste, but more for the good memories of have drinking it in Amsterdam

I was so excited to wake up this morning and see this question, especially since imports have been such a heavy focus of mine since we opened Telegraph last summer (Telegraph's beer and wine lists are 100% European Produced). One of my favorite beers on tap at Telegraph right now is the St. Feuillien Blonde. It's a pitch perfect Belgian Blonde Ale: velvety on the palate, complex and spicy, with a hint of citrus. It's also only available on draft, and quite limited, so there's only a few bars and restaurants around the city who pour it.

At Brauhaus Schmitz we specialize in featuring lesser known German beers and introducing the dining public to new and exciting beers. We regularly seek out beers that are not as known and popular with great results. My favorite beer right now is the Traunstein Dunkel Lager from a smaller brewery in Bavaria. We are one of only two bars in the United States to have it and we're going to continue featuring their beers in the future. This beer is the best I've ever had in this category of dark lagers, it's nice and malty, and very smooth. It's not overpowering in hops and perfectly balanced. It pairs great with a lot of our menu items from Schweinshaxe (roasted skin-on pork shanks) to our house made sausages.

Niche Restaurant and BRASSERIE by niche
St. Louis, MO

Duchesse de Bourgogne is a sour Flanders Red Ale style of beer from. It's a blend of an 18 mo oak aged beer and an 8 mo old beer. It's really sour and winey and in the winter it is perfect with some boeuf bourguignon or cassoulet. You either love it or despise it. I love it. We occasionally have it on tap at Brasserie by niche.

I don't even know where to start here. Anything by the 2 twins that HATE
each other is fine by me. I didn't know that disdain could taste so good,
but the brothers from Evil Twin and Mikeller stand out in my mind. I
believe they are gypsy brewers that make such beautiful complex beers.
Love anything either of them put out. But, one would be remiss if St
Barnadus Apt 12 was not mentioned or the Rochfort line. Even the
Corsendonk Brown is so special it needs its own paragraph. And, these are
just 4 beers that WE get here. there are a slew of beers that we can't, or
don't. Let's not forget about Emelisse's Russian Imperial Stout. Whatever
the case is there are tons of Beers from around the world for everyone
