This summer it's sparkling rose and anything. Dan's birthday is this month (its a big one) and we've already had a picnic with friends of sparkling rose and fried chicken, now we have a few cases of Lucien Albrecht Cremant d'Alsace Brut Rosé from Alsace, France to pair with a cold buffet at an outdoor Ravinia celebration next week.

I love to pair summer pastas- hot pasta with room temperature salsa cruda
with Vinho Verde. The light sparkle and citrus of the wine goes great with
that dish.

I like to drink canned lager or wit by the barbecue when it's hot out and I have a long day of barbecuing and whatnot. Warsteiner, Wittekirke, even Budweiser works if it's kept super cold on ice. What's barbecuing will go with the cold beer, trust me.
