The Southern celebrates Bourbon Heritage Month
September is Bourbon Heritage Month, courtesy of a unanimous Senate vote back in 2007, and you don't have to plan a trip along the Kentucky Bourbon Trail to celebrate.
Visit The Southern every week in September to enjoy a different bourbon special. To kick things off, we've got our own selection of 10 year old Evan Williams Single Barrel for you to enjoy.
September 3-9 — Evan Williams The Southern's single barrel. $6 neat or rocks/$8 cocktails
September 10-16 — Old Forester. $5 neat or rocks/$7 cocktails
September 17-23 — Knob Creek Rye. $10 neat or rocks/$12 cocktails
September 24-30 — Wild Turkey 81. $5 neat or rocks/$7 cocktails

Jack Daniels' Birthday & Pig Roast at The Southern
Come celebrate Jack's birthday in style with a Jack Daniel's inspired pig roast with fixin's, specially priced Jack cocktails and live music.
Live music starting at 4 pm.
The swine and sides will be served up around 4:30 pm.
We do recommend buying tickets in advance - our pig roasts sell out! Tickets do not guarantee seating.
$18 per person, gratuity not included.

Prohibition Night at The Southern on July 10 featuring Angel's Envy
Join us at The Southern on Tuesday, July 10 @ 8 pm, on our rooftop, for Prohibition Night with Angel's Envy. Angel's Envy is an artisan port-finished bourbon inspired by Lincoln Henderson's lifetime spent perfecting his craft and creating fine spirits.
On special will be $5 Prohibition-era cocktails crafted with Angel's Envy. We will also feature live music and complimentary hors d'oevres.
The event is free to attend, but space is limited so be sure to RSVP in advance.

The Southern introduces whiskey flights
The Southern's bar program is excited to announce, beginning tonight June 18, we will be serving 8 different whiskey flights. Come sample a great variety of our best whiskeys and learn something new. Attached is one of our flights, the Collector, including Jefferson Presidential 18 year, Thomas Hnady Sazerac Rye, and Macallan 18 year scotch.

The Southern works with Oscar Mayer at Taste of Randolph
The Southern's executive chef Cary Taylor is working with Oscar Mayer to create toppings for their new Chicago Recipe and and New York Style Beef Franks, that have no artificial preservatives. Their hot dog food truck will be at the Taste of Randolph festival this weekend with samples, while supplies last!

Savannah Style Shrimp Boil at The Southern
Join us Monday, June 25 for a Savannah style shrimp boil, prepared with andouille sausage, red potatoes and corn on the cob.
The boil will be poured out just after 7:30 p.m. Enjoy $3 Abita drafts, plus $3 shots of Old Fitzgerald Bourbon.
We highly recommend you buy your tickets in advance, as these events tend to sell out.

Memorial Day- Heritage Pig Roast at The Southern
Memorial Day is the perfect day for a pig roast! Come enjoy a Swabian Hall pig from Rustic Rooster farms in Waterloo. This is a heritage bred pig with a big fat cap. The pig will be served up with tasty sides around 3:00 pm. Seating is first come first serve. Enjoy your day off at The Southern! $6 Tempelton Rye cocktails as well. Purchasing tickets in advance is recommended.
