Les Amis du Chef Wine Dinner

Café des Architectes presents Les Amis du Chef, a multi-course dining experience with wine pairings on Thursday, April 11 in Cigale, the private dining space for the restaurant.

Chef Greg Biggers and Pastry Chef Leigh Omilinsky will welcome the evening’s special guests from the Perigord region of France: Chef Vincent Arnould from the restaurant Le Vieux Logis and Winemaker Daniel Hecquet from Chateau Haut-Sarthes and Chateau Puy Servain. The evening’s menu will showcase the very best cuisine from this region, including truffles, foie gras and chestnuts.

7:00 p.m. dinner

Presented by Café des Architectes at Sofitel Chicago, the second annual Holiday Rock & Roll event will take place Monday, December 17 from 6-8pm. Hosted by ABC’s Steve Dolinsky, the event features Chicago’s top pastry chefs presenting their modern interpretations of the Bûche de Noël, a traditional French holiday dessert. Laurent-Perrier Celebrates 200th Anniversary at Cafe des Architectes

This September, Cafe des Architectes at Sofitel Chicago Water Tower will partner with Laurent-Perrier to celebrate a very important milestone: the 200th anniversary of the legendary Champagne house. With roots dating back to 1812, Laurent-Perrier has become one of the most successful and recognized Champagne brands in the world. Together with Sofitel Luxury Hotels, Laurent-Perrier will celebrate this special anniversary - and favorite French pastime – by inviting guests to partake in an evening of gastronomy.

On Saturday, September 22, Café des Architectes will feature a special menu celebrating the anniversary. The six-course degustation will feature select Laurent-Perrier Champagnes paired with the contemporary French cuisine of Chef Greg Biggers and Pastry Chef Leigh Omilinsky. The featured menu includes the following courses:

For those looking to further indulgence, a Champagne-themed package is available for the weekend and includes the Champagne dinner for two people, luxury accommodations and a bottle of Laurent Perrier Brut to enjoy in room. Fiona - by Chef Greg Biggers & Goose Island Brewery

Le Bar and Cafe des Architectes at Sofitel Chicago Water Tower have debuted Fiona, a limited-time brew by Chef Greg Biggers and Goose Island Brewery. The beer was made as part of Goose Island's Chef Collaboration series and will be available until it runs out! The hefeweizen-style brew features notes of clove, banana and honey and is perfect for sipping on Le Bar's outdoor patio. ($6.00, on draft only).

Chicago Gourmet & Café des Architectes present Les Amis du Chef, a multi-course dining experience with wine pairings on Thursday, June 7 in Cigale, the private dining space for Café des Architectes. Chef Greg Biggers and Pastry Chef Patrick Fahy will welcome guest chefs Justin White of Small Bar and Dirk Flanigan of Henri and The Gage, along with Master Sommelier Serafin Alvarado of Southern Wine & Spirits. 6:30 p.m. cocktail reception, 7 p.m. dinner. Café des Architectes’ Spring Menu

Café des Architectes has a new menu in effect, featuring spring’s freshest ingredients. Enjoy Chef Greg Biggers’ dinner highlights including Sesame Sweetbreads with Maine lobster claw, wasabi tobiko and tangerine-miso emulsion; a Local Beet Salad with house made goat cheese, green garlic sorbet and frisee; and a Swan Creek Rabbit with carrot puree, mustard sabayon, fava beans and melted leeks. Pastry Chef Patrick Fahy has created an elegant Cherry Blossom Panna Cotta with Sakura, honey, matcha tea ice cream and candied cherry flowers. Enjoy al fresco dining on La Terrasse, Café des Architectes’ outdoor patio.
