Caramel apple pie, cheddar cheese crust & tuile, hazelnut streusel, cinnamon whipped creme, vanilla sauce ($8)
Pastry chef Katie Wyer makes a slightly different variation of homemade apple pie for her family at Thanksgiving every year - this is this year's variation! It's inspired by Garrett’s cheddar cheese and caramel corn popcorn mix, which she gets every time she takes the train back to her parent’s house in Geneva, IL. It also celebrates the classic (and awesome) Midwestern combination of cheddar cheese and apple pie.
She does a cheddar cheese pie crust, with a cheddar cheese surprise at the bottom of the pie. The apple filling has caramel, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg and hazelnut streusel in it. The uniform crust - not a lattice crust! - gets topped with even more caramel, vanilla sauce, cinnamon whipped cream and cheddar cheese crisps. We serve it paired with a delcious Oktoberfest beer.

Telegraph Celebrating National Escargot Day
Snails are one of Chef Anderes' favorite, and we're excited to participate in National Escargot Day on Friday, May 24th! We'll be offering the following dishes starting tomorrow, Thursday the 23rd (photos available tomorrow upon request):
Grilled swordfish, smoked patty pan squash, petit snail ramp vinaigrette
Scotch snaiil, edwards ham sausage, sauce remoulade, pickled radicchio
Nettle spaghetti, leeks, horseradish, white wine poached egg
All of these dishes will go on our regular menu for the weekend. Our sister restaurant, Reno, will also be participating and serving mushroom snail duxelle pizza, housemade cheddar ricotta, and French ham.
