Italian Sausage with Pepers and Clams at HB Home Bistro
Italian Sausage with Pepers and Clams ($22)
Topneck Clams would be my last meal if i were heading to the electric chair tomorrow, so i was certainly predisposed to love this dish. The magic ingredient in Chef de Cuisine Victor Morenz' Italian Sausage is fennel pollen. A few other batches just didn't capture the flavored of this batch. This is my favorite dish on the new summer menu. I really think it speaks for itself. Creamy polenta, marsala sauce, sauteed peppers, onions, portobellos....if you look at it at the right angle, at the right time of the night it actually looks like a hoagie. (with all the Philadelphia talk lately, i thought that was appropriate to mention. This is great with a cold beer.
gluten-free, served in shell, surf 'n turf, and retro reinvented
