My favorite food memory was when I was Sous Chef at Stars restaurant in San Francisco. I was given the duty of cooking a meal for Jaques Pepin and his wife, Jeremiah Tower and Mark Franz! Talk about pressure, 23 year old kid cooking for the culinary Mt. Rushmore at the time. The meal went off well and they were pleased. Jeremiah pointed out some of the flaws, but in a very constructive and educational way. He was really good like that. Always the teacher.
