I don't read a ton of food blogs. I like to check out A Hunger Artist by Bob DelGrosso and Michael Ruhlman's blog. I like to read blogs that are linked to restaurant/Chef websites as it is fun to read what Chefs are thinking about as related to a season/menu, etc. and see those thoughts reflected on a menu. I like Mark Mendez's blog for that reason, but also because Mark is a great writer. He writes with honesty and emotion and the voice of a chef. I have no patience for poorly written blogs. Why should I bother reading your thoughts if you cant formulate a proper sentence? All too often, and not just on blogs, but Facebook and Twitter too, I can't believe what is posted. You can't proof read 140 characters? In today's world, being a chef/butcher/food professional means blogging and social media, and if you don't have basic writing skills, you have no business posting. It is the same as sending out a dish without tasting it first. The rules of good cooking parallel the rules of good blogging.
