Dining Out Favorites

Say you're in the mood for something unique. Perhaps a hole-in-the-wall. What is your favorite ethnic dive and what is your favorite dish there?

Always, always, always it is Sunshine Cafe on Clark Street in Andersonville. I've had everything on the menu, but my favorites are the Tsukemono ( cabbage pickles), the nasu ( broiled eggplant) and the Salmon Shioyaki style. It is country style Japanese, I've been going there for years, and it is also on my last meal list. A close second would be Tank Noodle up on Argyle street ( since Sunshine is closed on Mondays) It's what I imagine like being in a busy loud cafeteria in Vietnam would be like.
