Non-Culinary Experience

Besides cooking your heart out, perhaps you've had another job you loved. What have been your most cherished non-culinary work experiences, and how have they shaped you?

I owned my own custom furniture company. I have built many pieces of furniture in my woodshop. I build alot of items for my restaurant including the service carts. Im always creating something out of wood, my new medium is metal. I love working with my hands and creating new items.

Probably working in that steel mill. It certainly scared the heck out of me. A nice dose of reality of what it is like to work hard, clean, and efficient.
