Drew and I opened Something Different: Carry Out Cuisine in 1983, Something Different: The Restaurant in 1989. SNAX (Not a Sports Bar) in 1991 , Zinfandel Restaurant in 1993 and West Town Tavern in 2002. Whew! Openings are hard, but the night before the doors open there is a sense of wonder-of real satisfaction and of pride. Everything is clean, ready, new and exciting. The hope of real success fills you and there must be champagne. It is the end of the first week that is usually the real bummer
