I never need an excuse to drink French wine having grown up in restaurants with cellars deep in the classic wine from all of the regions of France. On this holiday, if you are dining in a French bistro, brasserie or temple of haute cuisine, do the right thing. After all - what grows together, goes together. Alsatian Tarte Flambe with Alsace Riesling, Fruits de Mer with Muscadet, Salade avec Chevre with Sancerre or Pouilly Fume! Bon appetit!
