Holidays: How Food Figures in For You
Q: Take a yule-time trip down memory lane. Gingerbread, caroling and cocoa ... what are your best Christmas food/drink memories?
Every year in our neighborhood a horse drawn carriage comes and all of the neighbors drink spiked hot chocolate (the adults), eat gingerbread cookies, and get on the carriage and sing carols. Sounds pretty hokey but it is pretty magical for my kids and I love the spiked hot chocolate. This year we are starting a new tradition on christmas day where we roast a suckling pig and open up our house to any of our friends and family that can make it.
Q: The day-after-Thanksgiving-sandwich is as much a turkey tradition as the holiday feast itself, and everyone's got their own variation. What are your turkey sandwich traditions/compositions?
Pepperidge Farm thin white bread, way too much Hellmans mayo, and good leftover turkey.
