What was the biggest "fail" dish or meal you've ever cooked?

Years ago I went to a friend's for Easter dinner and talked up a garlic mint aioli to go with the lamb that they were preparing. I brought all the ingredients with me and tried to make it in a food processor at the last minute. Of course it broke and nothing I did could save it so as everyone was sitting down to dinner I was rooting through their refrigerator for the Hellman's to try to cobble together a sauce that would save my dignity. Everyone was very gracious but it wasn't a shining moment.
